Welcome buttons

This article explains what welcome buttons are, how they work by default, and how you can customize them to enhance the guest experience from the very first interaction with your chatbot.

The welcome buttons are available in our Pre-Stay solution and they appear as soon as the user clicks on the widget, after the chatbot welcome message

They are very useful to help your users better decide what action to take. We strongly recommend to have a maximum of 3 buttons. 

By default, the buttons are the following: 

  • Book a Room
    • The booking form will appear for the user to select the booking information to search for available rooms in the dates selected
  • Other Topics
    See the FAQs that appear in this section, by default 
    • Check in 
    • Check out
    • Parking
    • Breakfast
    • Wifi
    • Contact Staff

How to add Welcome Buttons?

  • Go to the "Chatbots" menu and select the Chatbot 
  • Go to the section "Welcome Messages" and choose the property you want to add welcome buttons to (if you have more than one property). If you wish to create a welcome message to a specific property no yet listed click on "+ Create New"
  • You can also use the Default Welcome message if you want to apply these changes to all properties. 
  • Edit the welcome message by clicking the pencil icon on the right hand side

  • You can define the welcome message content 
  • To add a new button, click on "+ Add button"

 

There are 3 types of Buttons: URL, Flow and Topic Responses 

URL: Directs the user to the URL you defined

Choose a title and the URL you want to direct the user to:

Flow: Directs the user to a pre-defined flow (check our flows here ). The user will enter a flow that will end up on your Inbox to be actioned by one of your agent

Choose a title and the Flow you want the user to initiate:

 

Topic Responses: Directs the user to a Topic Response 

 

(When choosing the "Advanced button" option, you can change the title of the predefined "📌Other Topics" button)

Dont forget to save changes.
