WhatsApp: Bring-your-own-number Process

See below the process to transfer an existing phone number to the HiJiffy console.

Note: For a full list of requirements and limitations before starting this process, please read this article.

Before Our Kick-Off Call / WhatsApp Business Account Creation Meeting:

  1. Confirm the Number(s) to be Transferred Please clearly outline which phone number should be transferred to each respective property. For example:
  • +1 782-345-6456 – Property A
  • +1 782-908-7656 – Property B
  1. Delete Your Current WhatsApp Account You must delete the current WhatsApp account associated with the number directly within the WhatsApp application. (Note: We also ask you to completely uninstall the app from all devices holding this number).
  2. Complete Your Meta Business Information Make sure you have filled in all the necessary details in the "Business Info" section of your Meta Business Portfolio (or portfolios, if you have multiple).
  • Access your settings here: business.facebook.com/settings/info
  • Please inform your Account Manager about how your Business Portfolios are structured (Remember: 1 Business Portfolio = 1 Legal Name).

During the Setup Meeting with Your HiJiffy Account Manager:

  1. Have the Phone Ready: You must physically have the phone containing the active SIM card for the number with you during the meeting. An SMS or phone call will be triggered to provide you with the necessary verification code.
  2. Meta Business Suite Access: You must have an active Meta Business Suite account and be logged in with Administrator access.
  3. Information Check: We will double-check that all business information within your Meta Business Portfolio is fully completed and up-to-date.
  4. Account Creation: We will guide you step-by-step through the WhatsApp Business Account creation, which involves actions in both the HiJiffy Console and your Meta Business Account.
  5. Enable 2FA: You must enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for your Business Portfolio if it is not already active.
  6. Business Verification: You will need to initiate the Business Verification of your Business Portfolio.
    • Once you submit the required documents, the status should change to "In review".
    • If your Business Portfolio is already verified, the WhatsApp approval process will be significantly faster!
  7. Finalize Connection: Once Meta officially marks your Business Portfolio as "Approved," we will be able to finalize the connection and your number will be live in the HiJiffy console
