WhatsApp: Buy a new number

See below the process to buy a phone number to be used in the HiJIffy console. 

Note: For any requirements/limitations - read this article. 

In this scenario, we will purchase a US or UK number for you (depending on your location). Our team handles this process directly.

Purchasing a US or UK number allows us to send SMS fallbacks for campaigns in case a guest does not use WhatsApp. The Meta approval process is also significantly faster.

Note: If you require a number from a different country or want to use an existing number, please contact your Account Manager to check viability. Additional documentation may be required to proceed.

Requirements to Buy a Number:

  1. You must have an active Meta Business Suite account with Administrator access.
  2. Ensure all business information within your Meta Business Portfolio is fully completed and up-to-date.

3. Inform your Account Manager about how your Business Portfolios are structured (Note: 1 Business Portfolio = 1 Legal Name).
4. We will then guide you through the WhatsApp Business Account creation, which involves a few steps in both the HiJiffy Console and your Meta Business Account directly.

5. You must enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for your Business Portfolio.

6. You will need to proceed with the Business Verification of your Business Portfolio.

  • The verification will start > click on “Start Verification” then “Get Started”
  • Choose the country where the business is located > click on “Next”
  • Choose the business type > click on “Next”
  • Add/Confirm business details > click on “Next”
  • Confirm “I’m not a robot” > click on “Next”
  • Select the business > click on “Next”

If the business is not listed (it usually means that the META account is not verified also), you need to upload certain documents

  • Review details > click on “Next”
  • Select a contact method > click on “Next”
  • Insert verification code sent > click on “Next”
  • Finish

→ Important: the verification should be marked as “pending”. If the verification is “in progress” it means that you have not finished the process.

7. Once your Business Portfolio is marked as "Approved" by Meta, we will be able to finalize the connection.

Once the number is approved and connected, all interactions related to it will be managed entirely within the HiJiffy Console.

 Note: It will not be possible to make or receive standard voice or WhatsApp calls on this number.

Your Account Manager will let you know once the number(s) are approved and added to the HiJiffy console 

We will provide you the WhatsApp number of each property, as well as the QR Code.
